Epigraphic studies presented in Laodikeia Studies 7: Greek and Latin Inscriptions Found in the 2003-2021 Excavations in Laodikeia (Laodicea ad Lycum) are contextualized and introduced to readership in a way that the volume can be of interest and provide insight for scholars specialized in diverse fields like epigraphy, archaeology, history, art history, history of religions, and theology. Here, on behalf of the Laodikeia Excavations team, I would like to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums, Pamukkale University Rectorate, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, Pamukkale and Merkezefendi Municipalities, and the Non-Governmental Organizations (Industry, Trade and Stock Exchange Chambers) of Denizli for their support, and epigraph Prof. Tullia Ritti and archaeologist Prof. Francesco D’Andria, former director of Hierapolis Excavations, and valued member of the Laodikeia Excavations team, for their scientific contributions to research at Laodikeia.
May the light of civilization continue to shine at Laodikeia in the Lykos plain and beyond…
